My Brother's Birthday Hat

Hubby's Tweed Hunting Hat

FINALLY!!!!  My hubby wouldn't wear anything I made, and he wasn't a "fan" of hats, but I finally won him over with this GIANT STITCH (size Q hook/super bulky tweed yarn) beanie.

Winter Hat

My Emily gets overheated very easily, so when I found this "Quick Fix" hat on www.vallieskids.blogspot.com, I knew it would be perfect for her.  She loves blue, and I had some Jiffy in blue, which is a bulky weight yarn, the equivalent of the suggested 2 strands of worsted in the original pattern.  I added 3 extra rows of sc, but I'm very happy with this quick and super easy hat.  I do like the original designer's use of the 2 strands of worsted in blue and white. It adds a nice effect, but this is what I had on hand at the time.

Crochet

Just finished working on a Lisa van Klaveren pattern called the "Slouchy Picot Hat".  www.hollanddesigns.etsy.com.  Lisa's patterns are all quite lovely.  I can't wait to dive into her knit-look ones as well!  I also whipped up another "Divine" hat from www.ravelry.com.  This is a free pattern.  I liked making it in the funky zebra/hot pink.

Zebra Divine

I love this free pattern from Ravelry, and I decided to make it fun.  I used Lion Brand's "Microspun" for the yarn, and it was delightful to work with!  I'm not a big fan of acrylic, but this yarn would change anyone's mind.  I made it in the infant size to gift to someone.  The free pattern is called "Divine" and can be found at www.ravelry.com.  I actually knitted the flower.
