Angel Wings Pinafore

I LOVE this free Ravelry pattern!  I'm almost done--just 3 more rounds, a tiny bit of seaming, and a couple buttons to add : ).

Voila!

The finished newborn sun set with ruffled brim sunhat and mock crocks.  FUN FUN FUN to make, and super quick.  These are truly newborn size (0-3 months), so they should last all summer long.  Can't wait to send these off!

Newborn Sunhat Set Sneak Peak . . .

This is part of a set I'm making for one of my Ravelry friends who is expecting a baby.  I made the ruffled brim sunhat in a sturdy trade cotton.  It's bright orange and pink.  I'm also working on some mock crocks, crochet style, of course ; ).  If time permits, I'll also throw in some baby washcloths and a bib.  Then, I'm off to the races to finish a sweet bolero for Claire's Easter dress.  Anyhoo, here's the 1st mock crock . . . super fun to make!

A few cutie pics . . .

My cousin, http://www.amybeckey.com/, is an amazing photographer and captured some beautiful images for me.  A couple of our 2 kiddos, and one of my friend's baby wearing the hat I crocheted as a gift.  The hat pattern is by The Dainty Daisy (see sidebar link) and is a real hit!  The purple bear hat is also an order for a photo shoot . . .

Easter Dress

I had planned to sew Claire's Easter Dress.  Really, I did.  Then I was going to make 2 dresses--one with a knitted bodice and one sewn.  Really, I was.  But I am just dying to try my hand at this one (Interweave Crochet pattern), and my hubby really loves it . . . what's a girl to do??  I'm going to try it, and if all else fails, I'll make a pit stop to Kohl's.

Rasta and Crochet--a match made in yarn heaven!

I knitted a hat with this, and I wasn't that thrilled with the results.  However, I crocheted one today and it is WOW!!!!  I could not be happier with the way the colors just seem to blend and "pop" with this yarn!  This is going to make a fabulous newborn photo prop (which is what it's for).  So, without further ado . . .
